NC State’s College of Design was celebrating the 20th anniversary of Art2Wear, an annual student-led fashion show. “ADVANCE” was selected as the theme to acknowledge the efforts to move forward in a purposeful way following 2020 and to honor the legacy of the event.

By incorporating a timeline into the design of the logo, the small and mid-sized nodes represented the past and present respectively. The star motif that followed served as a symbol for an optimistic future.

We based out color palette on what best encompassed the passage of time. The striking appearance of purple became a statement for our visual identity. As one of the leads on the graphic design team, I directed how our assets were used across static and animated materials.
